Inwood Farmhouse - Accommodation
Drive in through the security gates to Inwood Farmhouse and park up; get out and have a good stretch after your journey and then go in through the door to the huge kitchen/entertaining space. To one side there's a very smart and well-equipped kitchen with a long 'bar' to sit at, and to the other, a lounge area with a sumptuous U-shaped sofa. The room is light and airy, bright and spacious, perfect for gathering together.
Off to the left a wide hallway leads to a utility room and WC, and to the stairs; to the right is the spacious dining room where a bespoke oak table sets the scene for those happy celebration feasts. At the far end of the dining room there’s a Belfast sink, a dishwasher and 2 beer coolers.
To the right of the kitchen/entertaining room is the spa area with a treatment room and a beauty bar; down at the end there’s a glass fronted sauna and a shower room with WC. Continue round to the rustic style bar/mini kitchen where you’ll find there’s a big sofa and just beyond, the indoor hot tub. Think Relaxation with a big fat R, this amazing holiday house is an absolute gem for low key celebrations with your nearest and dearest and for sophisticated hen weekends. The mini kitchen is very useful if you hire caterers because they can use it to prep, away from the rest of the house, leaving you to get together for pre-dinner cocktails in the dining room or if it’s sunny, out in the courtyard. There are full height doors by the hot tub so on warmer days you can slide them back and indoors and outdoors merge. Step out into the courtyard where there’s a bar, barbecue, and outdoor furniture.
The bedrooms at Inwood Farmhouse are arranged over two floors. They all have ensuite bath/shower rooms and with the exception of Bedroom 5, they have zip and link beds (super king or twin). All bedrooms have country views and are named after fields on the farm - a nice nod to the house's heritage. On the first floor are Bedrooms 1-5. Bedroom 1 (Stone Close) makes a good family suite as it has two adjoining rooms and an ensuite bathroom with a spa bath and separate double shower. The first room has zip and link beds, the second has bunk beds with a double on the bottom and a single on the top - so a room for parents, and a room for children – perfect!
Bedroom 2 (Great Meadow) has an ensuite shower room and Bedroom 3 (Bathing Field) is another one with an ensuite bathroom with a spa bath and separate shower. Bedroom 4 (Buck Hill) has its own shower room and at the end of the landing, Bedroom 5 (Sky Lane) has an ensuite shower room and within the bedroom, right in front of the window, a free standing bath; fill it with bubbles, lie back and take in those rural views - bliss! Doors open onto a veranda - a lovely spot for morning coffee or for a sneaky nightcap beneath the stars.
On the top floor are Bedroom 6 (Horses Mead), Bedroom 7 (Lawn Mead) and accessed by a separate staircase, Bedroom 8 (Bushy Mead). These bedrooms, like all the others are spacious and restful, each with their own ensuite shower rooms. The bathrooms and shower rooms at Inwood Farmhouse are all crisp and modern with high quality fixtures.
