Beautiful ancient woodland (one of the largest in Britain), on the NT Holnicote Estate within Exmoor National Park. Explore at your leisure, lose yourself for a while among the magnificent pollarded oaks, moss covered tree trunks and well worn tracks; spot wildlife, admire the vistas, rest beside a tinkling stream. Visit in the summer when the trees are out in full, or in the autumn when a myriad of leaves tumble down on the breeze. When you’re done head to Horner Tea Rooms for homemade refreshments – it’s like stepping back in time.
