The Royal Crescent, Bath, Somerset
The elegant Georgian architecture of Bath is something to behold; The Royal Crescent is one of the most famous examples in the city and in the UK. Built between 1767 and 1774, the stone façade of this Grade I listed, sweeping crescent of 30 terraced houses remains almost original. The Royal Crescent has been the location for many TV and film productions, including Jane Austen’s Persuasion and The Duchess, starring Keira Knightley. A trip to Bath would not be complete without taking in this spectacular sight.
