Dulverton Heritage Centre, Dulverton, Somerset

Dulverton Heritage Centre is one of those little places where you might stand outside and think ‘Shall I? Shan’t I?’ and you should, because having ambled around the town with it’s narrow streets and laid back country air, surely your curiosity’s been stirred?

Go inside and find out about old Dulverton, step back in time to a different world and listen to local’s stories in the Archive Room. See what everyday life was like for Granny Baker who lived in one of the Victorian cottages that were refurbished to house the Heritage Centre, and see the working model of Dulverton Station in the courtyard.

If you want a momento of your visit go to the shop where they sell local gifts and second hand books, then when you’ve finished, wander over to The Bridge Inn for lunch by the river. How nice it is to take the time to do these things and add to the memories of your large group holiday in Somerset.
