Combe Raleigh, Honiton, Devon
Not a lot goes on in the sleepy village of Combe Raleigh; there’s no shop and no pub, but it’s nice for a stroll about and a look in the 15th century church, or just to take in some of the picturesque houses and cottages. In fact it’s very good walking country round here, with incredible views over the Otter Valley, and rather than drive into Honiton you could walk via the village (it’s only 1.5 miles), which is better for the body and better for the soul, provided you don’t have much to carry back with you.
