Castle Neroche, Somerset
Castle Neroche is a Norman motte-and-bailey castle in the Blackdown Hills of Somerset, not far from Taunton and Chard. There are lots of trails and paths for you to explore, and designated walks of varying lengths through diverse forests of evergreen and broadleaf trees; lots of up and downs, little hills to climb. It’s great fun for kids to run around and grown ups will appreciate the spectacular views out over the vale of Taunton. There’s a car park with a picnic area and information boards.
