Traditional pub meets Italian brasserie at La Campagna, right beside the A303 in Somerset, so easy to get to and easy to find. Inside is light and vibrant with leather chairs and bright yellow banquettes, outside there’s a covered dining area and a big garden with play equipment that the kids are going to love.
The food is good Italian fare and it’s all cooked to order using fresh seasonal ingredients. Choose from the set menu or an extensive A La Carte menu with pasta, risotto, pizza, salads, steaks, and meat and fish dishes like Branzino (pan fried fillets of sea bass with roasted Mediterranean vegetables in tomato, garlic, white wine sauce with saute potatoes) and Saltinbocca di Maiale (pan fried pork tenderloin with sage and parma ham, served with green beans, dauphinoise potatoes and pork jus). They also offer a takeaway menu, which might be worth bearing in mind for the day you arrive at your large group holiday house in Somerset.
