So Spring has officially sprung! It might still seem a bit gloomy out there but look around and you’ll see there’s so much going on – birds are busy nesting, the trees are starting to come into leaf, flowers are pushing up and bursting into bloom, and there are clouds of blossom in the hedgerows and in gardens everywhere. It always seems a bit of a struggle from the dark days of December to now, but next weekend the clocks go back so the days will be longer, and soon it will be Easter - a great time of year to get together with a group of family or friends and enjoy a large group holiday in the country.
There’s something so good about an Easter break; is it just that fresh feeling, everything being so colourful, and well, so new? The bank holiday weekend is always something to look forward to – the first since Christmas, but we like all those Easter traditions too – hot cross buns and Simnel cake for tea, an Easter egg hunt in the garden before the traditional roast lamb lunch on Easter Sunday.
The good thing about getting away for an Easter break is that it’s not as hectic as the summer holidays, but the family attractions are all open and it’s often warm enough to sit outside if you have lunch at a country pub, or for a barbecue at your large group holiday home.
