Here are a few Frequently Asked Questions that may help you when planning your stay at Pitmaston House: 

What time can I arrive at the property?

The check in time for Pitmaston House is 4pm. Unfortunately, you won't be able to arrive earlier than this as we'll be busy getting things ready for your stay. If you think you might be earlier then why not have a wander round the city of Worcester; you'll find lots to see and do, and plenty of places to eat - Saffrons Bistro and Olive Branch are both popular.

How do I find the property?

There are comprehensive directions provided in the My Booking section. Once you have made a booking you'll be able to access this from the Sleeps12 homepage. Please use these instructions rather than Sat Nav as there are some new roads that your SatNav may not recognise. Please also pass these instructions to all members of your group before you leave so that everyone knows how to get to the property.

Does this property require a cautionary deposit?

This property owner may require a cautionary deposit of up to £500 three weeks before your arrival. They'll be in touch with you to arrange this. More details about cautionary deposits can be found on this link.

Does this property allow two night stays?

This property does have a two night weekend option. The two night breaks are from 4pm Friday to 4pm Sunday. You must be sure to leave promptly by 4pm on Sunday, otherwise you might be charged for extra time in the property - and some (possibly all) of your cautionary deposit may be held rather than being returned.

We are thinking of inviting people over for the day - is this allowed at your property?

Unfortunately this is not allowed at any of the Sleeps12 properties. This is clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions that we ask you to read at the time of booking. There is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded for insurance/health & safety reasons, so every person who is a guest at the property must be added to the booking (we need their names and ages). If you have invited people to visit please call the office so that relevant permissions can be obtained from the owners of the property. 

Can I have a food delivery to the property?

You can arrange to have a food delivery to the property when you arrive or anytime during your stay. We ask that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We recommend that you put your mobile number and name on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, and Tesco. 

How do I access the property on the day of my stay? Will the owner meet me there or do I have to find the keys?

Your check-in information is available on our website about 4 weeks before your arrival, and you'll be emailed a link to this. You can view it by logging into the My Booking section of the website using your booking reference number and your email address. You'll find all sorts of useful information such as the owners contact details (in case you're likely to arrive later than 4pm), the code needed to open the gates to the parking area, and how to access the key if a key lock is provided. 

What is provided for us in the property? Will we need to bring anything in particular with us?

There is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for a dinner party, at least 2 toilet rolls per toilet, salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, washing-up-liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, dish cloth and scourer sponge, oven gloves, kitchen roll, tin foil, cling film, bin bags, hand soap, a Welcome pack of shower gel, moisturiser and bath soak, hair dryers in all bedrooms, all bed linen, cot mattress sheets, bath robes, bath towels and hand towels. NB: We advise that you bring additional towels if you intend to use the hot tub, as well as suitable footwear to wear between the house and hot tub - such as flip-flops.

There is also an iPad in the property, this will give you lots of information about how to use the facilities and how to operate the equipment. On arrival if you can't find this please do call the housekeeper/owner and let them know. 

How should we leave the property when we depart?

We expect the property to be left in the same clean adn tidy condition you found it in so please use the following as a rule of thumb:

  • All rubbish should be bagged up and left outside the front of the property
  • All washing up from your stay should be been done and put away. The dishwasher can be loaded with your final load and then turned on before you leave
  • The kitchen table and kitchen surfaces should be wiped and clean
  • Any spillages made during your stay should be cleaned up 
  • Please check all rooms to ensure that nothing is left behind
  • Any furniture that has been moved during your stay should be returned to its original position
  • We do not expect beds to be stripped and all towels, etc. can be left in bathrooms
  • Please notify us or the owners of any damage asap - people tend to be more understanding this way
  • Please let us know if there is anything missing form the property or if anything is not working properly

Is there SKY TV at Pitmaston House?

Every TV in the property has built-in Freeview. The TVs in the kitchen, living room, Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 3 have access to Sky.

Is the Pizza oven available all year around?

Yes! The outside eating area, including the pizza oven is one of the outstanding features of Pitmaston House, and is available for guests to use all year around. Wood is provided for the pizza oven.

Is there WiFi at the property?

Yes, Pitmaston House has guest Wi-Fi and you'll find the passwords when you arrive. We always recommend that before your stay, you download any larger things you may want, like films or games, just in case the broadband speeds aren't as quick as you're used to. 

How do we book EXTRAS that are listed on the website?

We are delighted that you are thinking of using one of our recommended suppliers/services. You will need to contact them direct to make your arrangements and then you must let us know by email or phone who you have booked, when they are coming and how many people there will be. We need this information for insurance purposes.

Are children welcome at Pitmaston House?

Yes, children are very welcome at Pitmaston house. There are two travel cots available that can be put where you want them - these will need to be requested when you do your bedroom configurations. Pitmaston House also has two high chairs that can be requested.
