Wander along the banks of the River Tone, climb to the top of Burrow Mump and admire the views that stretch for miles across the landscape. When you come back down treat yourselves to a pub lunch at The King Alfred Inn.

Mosey over to Muchelney to visit the beautiful abbey ruins and see the colourful painted angels on the 17th century wagon roof of the village church. It’s not far to Taunton where you can visit the Museum of Somerset to find out all about the county’s varied history; go to Hollywood Bowl on the outskirts of town for family fun, or have a stroll through Vivary Park and make like an ape on the high ropes at Vivary Adventure Centre.
