Perys Hill - Accommodation
Feel your holiday begin as you wend your way through the leafy lanes to Perys Hill; this beautiful large group accommodation has a Farmhouse that sleeps 8 and a separate Cottage that sleeps 4, and there’s room for 2 more children at no extra charge.
Step in through the porch of The Farmhouse, beautifully renovated, light and spacious throughout, with snooze space for 8 and room for 2 extra guest beds for children aged 12 years and under. Straight ahead is the wide hallway, to the left is the movie room, and on the right is the games room where you can play snooker beneath the original wooden ceiling, the wood-burner lit on colder days.
At either end of the hall doors open out to the gardens; there’s table football and to one end a lobby leads to a utility room with laundry facilities. Straight ahead is a very striking pebble effect fireplace and just the other side is the huge open plan living room, dining room and kitchen. This is where you can all gather together with ease, perfect for those special celebration weekends with the chosen few. The kitchen is very roomy and very well-equipped so if you hire caterers to create a birthday feast for you, they’ll have no trouble prepping and cooking here.
In the middle of the room there’s a long dining table and doors open onto the terrace; to the other end elegant sofas and chairs await you. The ambience is wonderful, so calm and gentle, enhanced by the refined interiors and neutral tones, solid oak floors and doors, soft white walls.
Upstairs the bedrooms are off a wide landing; Bedrooms 1 and 2 have ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers, Bedroom 3 has a bathroom just outside and Bedroom 4 has an ensuite shower room; this room has 2 optional extra guest beds*. For more information please see Rooms.
Just a couple of minutes from The Farmhouse, steps lead to The Cottage; this is ideal for anyone who likes to have their own space – perhaps grandparents or a young family. Step into the dining room and on the right is Bedroom 1 with an ensuite bathroom. Straight ahead is the kitchen leading to a utility room and open plan to a spacious hallway that takes you to the living room. Between the living room and the dining room there’s a double sided wood-burner for extra warmth in the colder months. Upstairs are Bedrooms 2 and 3 and a bathroom; Bedroom 3 has an optional extra guest bed*.
A very short stroll from the house is the indoor pool housed in a fabulous building built into the hillside with a green roof. A sweeping circular façade adds a softness and floor to ceiling siding doors give achingly beautiful views across the valley.
Right outside of the house there’s a huge terrace where you can while away the hours over leisurely alfresco lunches. There are vast lawns where the little ones can run about, there’s a play area, and tucked beneath the trees a shepherd’s hut that doubles up as a secluded workspace or a den for the children.
