Dancing Hill Reviews

10/10 - We loved the feel of the property and particularly enjoyed the open living space and glorious viewsWe can recommend a day out to Glastonbury. - Cowling

10/10 - Everything in and around the house was perfect can’t fault it. Attention to detail and interiors were very classy and stylish. Transport is a must as there are no walks nearby that would have been useful after a big meal. Hot tub and Spa were a treat too. - Barnett

9/10 - We loved the hot tub and open plan living space at the Dancing Hill property. The view from the property was stunning! We were very happy with the service provided with sleeps12 and would recommend your company. Many thanks. - Young

9/10 - The property was very well equipped and had plenty to keep the kids entertained. The only thing I would say the property could benefit from is extra bathrooms/ensuites. - Mather

10/10 - Everything about the house and gardens was amazing. Bit windy as you would expect being on a hill but maybe some kind of clear screening around the hot tub but nothing that would affect the fantastic views. Would definitely, 100% recommend this beautiful property. - Montague

10/10 - Fab weekend. House has everything we needed. Very spacious and high spec. Amazing views. - Tait

8/10 - The view was breathtaking. The house had plenty of space. The outside facilities was amble too. For a hen weekend the drinks room was a great idea. Plenty of toilets. However it was a shame there wasn’t at least 1 more bathroom upstairs. - Lucas-Hamblett

10/10 - Amazing home with everything you could need. As far as everyone who was in my party we all said that everything had been thought of which made for a great weekend with friends. - Ward

10/10 - Nothing to improve it, it was a home from home but better. Everything you needed was provided and lots of little extras. Totally relaxing, being able to lock ourselves away and forget about the outside world and recharge our batteries, would definitely return perhaps in the summer. - Cumberpatch

8/10 - Enjoyed the views. - Sparks

10/10 - We particularly enjoyed the snugs, pools and comfy beds. - Vallender

10/10 - Whole house, hot tub and surrounding area. We can recommend days out to - National Trust, Dunster Castle and Minehead. Walk locally through the woods. Quantock HillCheddar Caves. - Wade

10/10 - Excellent accommodation. Outside gardens and pools were great fun. The house itself was spotless and the beds very comfortable. Would highly recommend to friends and family. I only have one very small negative comment and that would be the time to check out. We felt 10am was far too early, it would have been nice to vacate at 12 noon as there was so many of us. Hope to return some time in the near future. Berrow Beach was lovely especially for dogs this time of year and Exmoor. - Phillips

Response: - "Unfortunately, other than a 2 night weekend break, all departures from our properties need to be no later than 10am. We would love to be able to allow a late check out, but with a 4pm arrival time we really need the 6 hours to get the property ready for the next guests, which means a thorough clean of the whole house and all the necessary checks to ensure everything is in order." - Sleeps12

10/10 - The house was in excellent order, very comfortable and lots of facilities. Only downside - lack of bathrooms. The steam railway to Minehead, very good trip. - Burns

10/10 - The house is impeccable. Great space, nice to have different areas to sit. The views are amazing, both day and night. Hot tub and swim spa pool are nice added touch. Very little to improve, just a few more toilet rolls, as we ran out and had to get some from the village Tesco. Two toilet rolls per toilet (there were only 4 - for up to 12 people) not sufficient. And perhaps some lamps in the living rooms, so if you didn't want overhead lights on or dimmed. We only went to the Walnut Tree Hotel in North Petherton for Sunday Lunch. It was a homely meal, and the restaurant was very nice. - Clements

9/10 - We had a great time & would definitely recommend it. The door into the main bedroom is stuck on the carpet. It desperately needs at least 1 more bathroom upstairs, preferably 2. - Stride

9/10 - The house was absolutely perfect. The only addition I would make is an OS Map so you could plan a lovely walk! - Yeo

10/10 - We had an absolutely fantastic stay for my sister's 40th Birthday. We highly recommend the house, it had everything we could possibly need. The outdoor area was amazing. We are looking forward to returning soon. - Jones

9/10 - The house was lovely and spacious, we were three families and weren't under each other’s feet and had our own space. The thing that lost this place was there was no outdoor plugs, we had young children and brought monitors which needed to be plugged in and when your enjoying the views outside we couldn’t hear them inside. - Griffiths

Response: - Outdoor waterproof sockets can be found under the veranda and there is also a doube socket in the front garden. - Owner

10/10 - The property was of a very high standard and very well equipped. Thank you very much. - Thorne

10/10 - Lovely property but a lot of ladies tripped over the bi folding door frame work. - Morgan

10/10 - Really lovely property with great views. Beds comfy with lovely linen and towels. Everything you could think of was provided including a welcome basket of cake, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. the rooms were beautifully decorated and the layout worked well for our party of 11. Would definitely recommend and would happily return. Berrow beach is good for dog walking. - Tyler

10/10 - Loved everything. All the details. The fact it wasn't furnished on the cheap! The ONLY thing I would change? The position of the kettle when making 12 cups of tea would be better placed on the other side. - Hunt

9/10 - Recommend Cheddar Gorge for a day out. House was fantastic. Disappointed on Thursday to spend the morning with someone cutting the grass so we couldn't access the garden all morning. - Griffiths

10/10 - The most beautiful property for our weekend getaway. Dancing Hill had every amenity we required and the outside space just made it. We had the most beautiful weather and spent all weekend in the pool and hot tub. The private chef recommended by Sleeps12 completed our wonderful weekend. - Kentish

9/10 - The hot tub water was green and murky with lots of foam which wasn't that appealing to get into! I contacted the house manager who told me it was safe to use though. We can recommend Tiverton canal trip as a day out. - Leeson

10/10 - We went as a hen do. There was 11 of us. The house is absolutely amazing with breath taking views!! Rooms and decor fantastic beds super comfy. No complaints at all. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Elliott-Smith

10/10 - Everything was amazing. - Iglesias

10/10 - We all enjoyed the whole experience of Dancing Hill. It had everything we wanted and more. It is such a beautiful place to stay for what ever occasion. Plenty of space to escape if you need time out also the hot tub and spa pool are wonderful and we were lucky enough to have sun. There are no negatives. We took outside glass wear which I'm glad we did. It was more safer than taking glass wear while seating out side enjoying a glass or two! The bbq/fire pit worked really well. There is plenty of garden to relax in also in the height of the summer some sun loungers may be an idea. All you need to do is take yourself and your belongings as the house is well equipped with every thing you can imagine. We took throws for the evening when we sat outside as the weather was a bit chilly in the evening. Sue and Julie the pamper girls came to do treatments they are amazing felt so relaxed afterwards, highly recommend them. Dancing Hill has such a most homely feeling to relax and enjoy we didn't want to leave. Hopefully go back in the near future. We felt priviliged to stay there. We enjoyed every second. - Jewell

10/10 - Excellent service from Sleeps 12 and fantastic property owner who was very obliging. We can recommend Clarks' Village and Barrington Court for days out. - Ahmad

8/10 - We can recommend Clarkes outlet village. Also spend an hour or so at Pyne's of Somerset - fantastic local market shop with friendly staff and the most amazing fresh produce. We had an amazing weekend and we would give the accommodation 4* out of 5. The house is beautiful but when you put on the spec BBQ with a bag of charcoal we expect that, regardless of the weather. We had planned a BBQ but were told the owners didn't think we would want one this early in the season so there wasn't one there! There was also 2 patio heaters by the shed which we would have loved to use in the evenings when sitting outside but were told we couldn't use these (please don't leave them in full sight!) Also there weren't enough cushions for the outdoor seating area - some were left in the outside box but the others were locked in the garage as again we were told we weren't expected to want to sit outside! A few further, small comments would be .... a few throws for the outside seating area, an outside mat by the bi-fold door (and an inside mat) so when you come in from the hot-tub you don't drip water everywhere (as you have to go through the dining room to get to the shower), a few rugs in the comfy/seating area as we could see others had already stained the lovely carpet and it's easier to replace a rug than the whole carpet. Some mood lighting in the main TV/Seating area - there were 2 candle lanterns hanging up but they didn't work. We found the lights too bright but it would have been lovely to have a few smaller lamps. If the weather is bright maybe some shade over the panoramic windows so you can see the TV. A whisk in the kitchen and extra cutlery - we had a caterer in for the Saturday night and we didn't have enough cutlery for the starters/main/pudding so had to wash the cutlery after the courses. The above comments are only small things which can improve this new property and push it up to a brilliant 5* status. We absolutely loved the kitchen/dinning/tv area with the extra fridge for the drink and the extra space this gave us in the food fridge. We had a brilliant weekend and would return. We have already been recommending the property to friends. Oh, another small comment - we felt the pictures of the kitchen/dinning area on the website doesn't do the house justice. We are now looking for our next break in Sept/Oct. Many thanks - Edwards

10/10 - The view, the overall quality of the place. There is nothing that could have been done to improve the experience we had a excellent time and would definitely recommend it to other people. - Burrow
