UK holiday cottages for 6 with an indoor pool are in big demand right now, for obvious reasons, so if you’re looking for the perfect place to stay for an autumn or winter break we’re here to help. We have a great selection of holiday accommodation sleeping 6, in glorious locations, with all you need for a relaxed and happy stay.
We all know the latest government restrictions – as from Monday 14th September you can’t meet indoors or outdoors in groups of more than 6. Except it’s not quite that simple and there are exceptions. So what does it mean when it comes to holidays in the UK? Well, if you’re a family of 6 or a support bubble of 6, perfect, it’s all very straightforward and you can come and stay at one of our amazing UK holiday cottages for 6 with an indoor pool just as you would normally.
But what if you’re not all from one family or support bubble? According to the Gov.uk website, “When meeting with people you do not live with you can socialise in groups of up to 6. You should maintain social distancing with people you don’t live with.” Now that’s confusing and PASC UK (the Professional Association of Self Caterers UK) interpret this to mean that the group of 6 could come from as many as six different households but if they do, they should socially distance whilst on holiday. Make of it what you will.
Gov.uk also clearly state: “You should not go on holiday in England with people you do not live or who are not in your support bubble, in a group larger than 6 people. People in the same support bubble can gather together indoors even if the group size is more than 6.” According to PASC, this surely means that a group size can exceed 6 as long as they are from one household or support bubble. To add to the confusion, in England children are included in groups of 6, whilst in Wales children aged 11 and under are excluded from the new law. Right! So that means that if you’re three couples, each with three children under the age of 11, you can all go on holiday together in Wales as a group of 15? Well, yes, that’s what we make of it.
If you’re not sure about the support bubble rules you can find out more here. What this means is that it's possible for you to have a holiday with a group of 6+. For instance, grandparents may have formed a support bubble with their grandchildren’s household – after the chaos of the last six months wouldn’t it be great for you all to get away for a week or a few days at one of our UK holiday cottages for 6 with an indoor pool? It’s a chance to spend quality time together, to completely relax in a world of your own, away from the madness. Come and forget about it, and if you have a birthday to celebrate, or an anniversary, even better.
Our UK holiday cottages for 6 have everything you need for a truly enjoyable stay so we know you’ll go home with wonderful memories.
