The accommodation at Lively Lodge is split over the main house and 2 self-contained studios in the grounds. Interiors are elegant and inviting, the feels are so relaxing. Park up, get out and stretch your legs, wander round to the back of the house and step inside.
First up is the conservatory dining room, overlooking the garden it’s light and airy and it’s easy to muster up thoughts of the loveliest celebrations, the dining tables piled high with a feast to share. Next is the kitchen, with a Travertine floor, on trend dark units, a range cooker and plenty of worktop space for slicing and dicing.
Go through to the living room, where neutral tones and sumptuous chenille sofas give such a restful ambience; here’s where you can put your feet up, watch a movie, have a good chinwag, just love the luxury of being together. Off the other side of the kitchen a lobby leads to Bedrooms 1 and 2 and a shower room, and direct access to the garden.
Pad upstairs from the kitchen to Bedrooms 3 and 4, one with an ensuite shower room, the other with a shower room right next to it. All of the bedrooms in the main house sleep 4 so are ideal for families or for good friends sharing.
If you’ve got a bigger family in your group, or people who like to have their own space, the studios will be perfect for them. One is just across the drive, glass fronted and modern, with a large bedroom that sleeps 6, a small kitchen area, and a shower room. Tucked away in the grounds is The Hideaway, a cosy little space for 2, with an open plan living space, a bedroom, shower room and its own fenced and hedged garden with a hot tub.
The relaxed vibe continues throughout the grounds, with split level lawns and seating areas, flowers and trees, and the icing on the cake, two more hot tubs. Slip in for a soak, sit and chat, watch the clouds drift by, all fluffed up in a sky the colour of forget-me-nots. Stroll around the grounds, thrash out a game of outdoor table tennis with the kids, get the barbecue fired up and the steaks a-sizzling.
