Zippity - Accommodation
Back in the day, Zippity housed the dairy and the pig pens on what was then a busy working farm; now it's been transformed into a contemporary style holiday house that sleeps 12 in 6 ensuite bedrooms with room for 4 more guests at an extra charge each.
Park up, get out and have a good stretch after your journey, then go in through the gate in the garden wall; a path takes you to the entrance and into a whopper of an open plan living/entertaining space where the wow factor really starts to impact. 15 metres long, an entire glass wall, with doors onto the garden; this place is made for big happy sociable holidays and celebrations! To one end there's a snug area with soft seating and a TV, in the middle there's a long dining table that seats all and to the other end, a very swanky kitchen with all you need to create a mammoth feast for your group. There's a central island where you can perch on stools and chat, so whoever's doing the slicing and dicing won't be left out of the action. The glass walls of this room and the games room let the light pour on in - it's such an incredible space.
The games room is right next to the open plan living space and has a pool table, table football, table tennis and air hockey. To one side there's a whole wall of TVs - 7 of them to be precise so there's no excuse for missing any of the big matches. Get comfy and settle down for a totally immersive experience! Throughout Zippity you can see how the centuries old features have been retained; thick stone walls and soaring roof trusses all pull together with the colourful modern interiors to give an eclectic and very stylish twist.
At the end of the living/entertaining space there's a utility room with laundry facilities, to the left is a loo. To the right, accessed from the snug area of the living/entertaining space, is Bedroom 1, with an ensuite bathroom. What's great is that all the beds at Zippity are zip and link so they can be arranged as a super king/king size or as twins.
Bedroom 2 is also off the snug area and is an access friendly room with its own wet room; off the games room are Bedrooms 3 and 4, both with ensuite shower rooms. Note that Bedrooms 1-4 all have TVs and can accommodate an extra guest bed at an additional charge per person - great for families and for older children sharing snooze space. Off the kitchen area a small lobby leads to Bedrooms 5 and 6, both with ensuite shower rooms.
Outside of the main living space is the walled garden where the colourful theme continues with pots and planting. To the left is an all season lawn, to the right is an awsome outdoor pool - heated for year round use, with a very swanky mirror effect, bubble jets and a water volcano. Get in, splash about whilst you watch your favourite movie - this part of the garden doubles as an outdoor cinema, with a whopping 80" screen built into the end wall. When you're not using the pool, get the popcorn out and make yourselves comfy on the loungers and beanbags for cinema beneath the stars. There's plenty of garden furniture, including big outdoor sofas, and for alfresco dining there's a barbecue and pizza oven.
Steps lead from the garden to an amazing rooftop terrace above the glass walled living space (NB: Children and dogs MUST be supervised). To be up there on a warm summer's day is something else; a glass fronted balcony allows for uninterrupted views across the fields of the estate, it's the perfect spot for cocktails and for catching the sunsets. Zippity is within a private 20 acre Estate; there are other properties on the estate undergoing renovation for letting with Sleeps12 so it is likely that you will hear building works being undertaken during your stay. This will be kept to a minimum and there will be no works at weekends unless absolutely necessary. During the week the builders finish at 5pm Mon-Thurs and at 4pm on Fri.
