Viney Hill Country House Reviews
10/10 - We all enjoyed our stay at Viney Hill, we loved the pool and the outside space, and the bbq house was fabulous. The bedrooms and ensuites were great, lovely comfortable beds and bedding. The kitchen was well stocked with enough equipment for 14 people. The best sleeps 12 property we have stayed in. 10 out of 10. Apart from a trip to the local shops and a walk in the woods with the children, we stayed at the house. - Smale
9/10 - Loved the BBQ hut was amazing and we all had so much fun. Didn't have any days out as there was so much to do at the property we made the most of the facilities there. Holding our own sports day, with a swimming gala, water polo and many sports activities. Which was nicer as it meant we didn't have any additional spend.- White
9/10 - The whole process was really simple. Great that you could pay in instalments. Owner was very friendly. House was perfect! We can recommend Kayaking in the Quarry. - Luff
10/10 - Quality of bedrooms. Swimming pool was warm and lovely to swim in. Amount of space - we could be altogether or find a quiet place on our own. - Czornyj
10/10 - Next time we stay want to make use of the bbq area as did not have time this weekend. We did bowling at Hollywood Bowl great fun as a family and we did an escape room one day too...loved our stay and will defo be back! Dalsania Family

9/10 - Viney Hill is a great property for getting a big group together. We particularly enjoyed the evening in the BBQ Lodge. A brilliant facility! The owner Kay was very helpful & easily available. We did a lovely short circular walk around Lydney Harbour. The sculpture trail is worth a visit, but get a pamphlet from the cafe for £1 before you start. We didn’t realize this & so couldn’t make the most of the visit. - Llody Family

10/10 - We loved the combination of traditional atmosphere with modern amenities - a great property. Easily accessible for Dean Heritage Centre, Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Go Ape and Gloucester docks. - Webster group

9/10 - I loved the fact that all of the bedrooms were of the same high standard so all rooms were great! When the other guests arrived they found it hard to make a decision as to which room to have. Maybe some extra basics could be supplied eg salt and matches? Trying to light the BBQ with the last remaining match was an interesting challenge! 9/10 - We had a lovely stay at Viney Hill House. The house is very comfortable, clean and everything you will need can be found in all rooms. The pool & BBQ were enjoyed by us all. This house is an ideal location for big parties of people. The owner Kay was very helpful in answering our questions promptly. - Green Family

10/10 - Very easy booking and payment. A fantastic holiday home for a large family get together. The owner was lovely and obviously takes a lot of pride in her house. Could not fault this place. This is the third time we have done this kind of stay and I have to say this is the first house that I would return too. We visited Go Ape. - Adams

10/10 - We had a wonderful time last week at Viney Hill Country House. It was a special event for us all, celebrating my wife's 70th birthday. We enjoyed many aspects of the Forest of Dean - canoeing on the river, cycling the trails, walking in the woodland and paddling in the streams. But best of all we enjoyed the house and all its facilities. We felt welcome from the time we arrived and none of us really wanted to leave. - David

10/10 - We would like to thank you for providing us with a fantastic house in which to celebrate my Fathers 80th Birthday. We were a party ranging from 19 - 80 years old and the house provided everything we required, it was beautifully clean when we arrived and we hopefully left it in as good a state.
