Cothelstone Hill, Somerset

Several walking trails lead to Cothelstone Hill as it's one of the best vantage points in the whole of the Quantock Hills, with spectacular 360 degree views that take in the Somerset Levels, the Mendip Hills, the Blackdowns and the Brendon Hills, and even stretch across to Exmoor National Park. On a clear day it really is breathtaking.

On top of the hill is a group of beech trees known as the Seven Sisters, and you may be fortunate enough to spot wildlife up here - or at least the resident herd of Exmoor ponies. Take a picnic on a summer's evening as this is an amazing place to watch the sunset.
