Fuzzy Orchard is a fantastic rural retreat where luxury and comfort, space and style all blend together to provide top-notch group accommodation for 12 guests with room for 2 more at an extra charge per person. Set in private 2 acre grounds in a picturesque valley, this large holiday lodge has its own indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna and games room. Outside there's a big hot tub with a domed cover that you can pull right back when the weather is good, a cosy Nordic style BBQ lodge and huge lawns with a play area. This is the perfect place for families and large groups to enjoy a restful holiday or to gather together to celebrate a special occasion any time of year.

Fuzzy Orchard is surrounded by lush pastures and rolling hills, so you can expect peace and quiet and glorious views; right on the doorstep are paddocks where horses graze, and fields where sheep feed. The tiny hamlet of Wellisford lies deep in the heart of the Somerset countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so there are plenty of opportunities to get outside and explore, with walks on designated footpaths, and golfing, fishing and horse riding nearby. Stroll through the fields and along the lane to the White Post Cafe and have lunch in the garden, or wander up to the Globe Inn at Appley Cross. What makes a nice afternoon out is to pootle through the lanes to the sleepy village of Holcombe Rogus where you can buy cider made to age old methods at Ridgeway Cider.

What's good is that you don't have to drive far to see some of the delights that Somerset has to offer. Exmoor National Park with its diverse and beautiful scenery makes for a good day out; stroll along the river at Watersmeet or Tarr Steps, visit  Porlock and Lynton & Lynmouth, take in the splendour of Dunster Castle (NT) and walk beside the leat of the working flour mill. Head into the wild and rugged Quantock Hills for the day, climb the picturesque combes; Hodders Combe and Holford Combe take you right up to the bracken clad heaths, and there's no shortage of country pubs for lunch in these parts. Venture into the Blackdown Hills and have a picnic at Otterhead Lakes or amble up to one of the vantage points - Staple Hill, Castle Neroche, Culm Beacon and Wellington Monument all have views that stretch for miles and miles.

If there are shopaholics amongst you they should head to Exeter or Taunton, or to Clarks Village on the Somerset Levels. For family fun go to Flip Out WellingtonCrealy Adventure Park, hop on a steam train with the West Somerset Railway and though it's a little further, Paignton or Bristol Zoo both make for a happy day out. If you fancy a good old fashioned day at the seaside, within an hour you can be on the Jurassic Coast where you can potter along the esplanade and play on the sand at Regency Sidmouth, go fossil hunting at Charmouth, or take a mackerel fishing trip from Lyme Regis. In the other direction are the beaches of the Somerset coast; Watchet, Minehead, and Blue Anchor, or further up Weston-Super-Mare or Burnham-on-Sea.

When you get back to Fuzzy Orchard get yourself a glass of something nice and sit out on the patio whilst the sun goes down, chill out in the hot tub beneath a sky full of stars, and snuggle up beneath the twinkly lights in the BBQ lodge tellng stories late into the night.
