Triscombe, Somerset
This tiny hamlet at the foot of the Quantock Hills in Somerset has a wonderful old fashioned ambience, with charming country cottages and farmsteads, and the lovely thatched Blue Ball Inn. The backdrop of rolling green fields and wooded hills adds to the tranquil beauty of Triscombe; there’s not much there really, but it’s a wonderful place to stop and admire the scenery, to follow one of the many footpaths up into the hills, or to enjoy a laid back lunch at the pub.
