If you're planning on exploring on two wheels when you're on your large group holiday in Somerset then go and hire bikes from Pompys Cycles in Minehead and you can set off right from the door; they're more than happy to tell you the best places to enjoy a bike ride, tied in with a stop off at a cosy tea shop or country pub, so take your OS map or borrow one of their route planners. They can even do guided routes if you book in advance.
If you've got your own bikes with you and you run into a spot of bother they do repairs and servicing too, so give them a call. Like a lot of businesses around these parts, Pompys is family run and has been for years; what you get is very friendly and helpful service.
Worth noting is that if you're staying at The Old Rectory and you want at least four bikes, they'll deliver them to you.
