Garden Court - Accommodation
Garden Court is such an inviting house, tucked away on a quiet lane, where electric code-operated gates lead to a small close of just 3 large detached houses; Garden Court is the middle one and has parking for several vehicles, with plenty of room to turn. Step inside the front door to a wide hallway; straight ahead are the stairs and a WC, off to the left is the kitchen, with more than enough space for cooking up a corker of a feast if you're here to celebrate a big birthday or anniversary with your loved ones. There's plenty of room for socialising together here - put nibbles out on the central island, put your feet up on the sofa and chairs; if there's a big match you really can't miss, pop the TV on.
Off the kitchen is a utility room with laundry facilities and access from the side of the house too, so it's ideal for when you've been out for a walk in the Surrey Hills and come back with a wet dog and muddy boots. Carry on through to the games room - a cool hang out for teenagers, and no doubt a few Dads will wander out there too… there's a pool table, air hockey, and a handy fridge for drinks and snacks.
Straight ahead of the kitchen is the orangery, put to excellent use as a dining room with an outlook over the garden. Natural light just pours in, there's plenty of room, and a nice big table to seat everyone; if it's a warm day, even better; open the French doors and let the sunshine in, step out onto the terrace for a breath of fresh air – it’s a great spot for cocktails and canapes before dinner.
To the right of the hallway is the is the snug, a cosy room where you can snatch a quiet moment, or somewhere the kids might like to play. Right next door is the sitting room, big and bright with French doors that open onto the terrace. This is a room where you can all relax together; watch a movie with big bowls of popcorn to share, play games, chat and swap stories.
Upstairs, left of the wide landing are Bedrooms 1 and 2. Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom of the house, with zip and link beds, a balcony overlooking the garden, a dressing area, and an ensuite bathroom with a bath and separate shower; Bedroom 2 has a king size bed and an ensuite shower room.
Along the landing are Bedrooms 3-6; Bedrooms 3 and 6 have double beds, and the rest all have zip and link beds that can be arranged as super kings or twins. There are also 2 shared bathrooms on this floor; one with a bath that has an overhead shower, and one with a bath and separate shower. Bedroom 7 is on the second floor and has zip and link beds.
A notable feature of Garden Court is the large landscaped garden, mostly to the back of the house. Get out on the terrace when the weather’s nice, fire up the barbecue and idle away an afternoon just being together. Laze about on the lawns, practice your cartwheels and handstands, stroll along the path to a more formal area with ornamental columns and a fishpond. Just off the terrace, a few steps from the house is the private indoor pool, with a changing room and big sliding doors you can open to give a wonderful outdoorsy feel to your swim - and of course, the beauty of it is, if it's cold or wet out it doesn't matter; this is a pool you can use any time of year, whatever the weather.
Beyond the pool house there’s a children's play area, and if you've got footy fans in your group they might want to pack their kits as there's a half size pitch too. Plenty of opportunity to get out there, have a kick about with the kids, somewhere they can let off steam, use up any excess energy. These will be happy times indeed and amazing memories will be made; book your stay at Garden Court today!
