Churchill 30 offers luxury self-catering accommodation to large groups. 10 en suite bedrooms sleep up to 30 guests and the property has a spa hall with a heated pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
Guests will be met by the owner upon arrival.
Trains: There is a train station at Taunton, approximately 12 miles away (for trains from Paddington). There is also a train station at Crewkerne, roughly 8 miles distant (for trains from Waterloo). Taxis are available from both stations.
Buses: The nearest bus station is at Taunton, approximately 12 miles away. Buses run from Taunton to Chard or Ilminster, which are both within 4 miles. Taxis are readily available from Chard and Ilminster town centres.

Groceries: Groceries can be delivered by Tesco, Sainburys, Asda, Morrisons, or Waitrose by pre ordering on line. You can also arrange to have food delivered from Coombe Farm Organic, Dart Fresh and River Field and Forest by ordering from their websites.
Arrival and car parking:
There is a purpose built tarmac car park with room for about 20 vehicles and plenty of turning space. This is clearly sign posted from the lane. Churchill 30 is located directly behind the car park and is accessed via a pedestrian gate for a drop off point to unload before parking in the car park.
The car parking area is fully lit during the evening hours.
Two electric charging ports are located within the car park, charging tokens can be purchased on site.
You will be given a code for the key safe prior to your arrival.
There are individual keys for each bedroom which guest may use if they wish.
All keys are the responsibility of the rental guests and we advise that you always use the key safe during your stay.
The Property - General
Churchill 30 comprises a mix of sympathetically converted traditional barns and a contemporary glass fronted new build.
All internal doorways are minimum of 900mm with 1200mm wider corridors.
All paths between the barns are lit during evening hours.
There are wall lights, downlights and LED lighting throughout the property.
Accommodation is mostly at ground floor level with a game rooms and cinema room on the lower ground floor, and 2 bedrooms on the first floor.
Floors are level internally except for two slightly ramped corridors.
All flooring is Karndean.
All bedrooms have their own TVs, Sky/Sports Full Package
The Property – Rooms
The main entrance door leads to a lobby/cloakroom and access friendly WC.
The open plan kitchen, dining room and snug measures 20m x 6 m and has access to a large balcony via 6m sliding doors.
The kitchen is to one end of the room; it has 6 ovens, 3 dishwashers, a fridge-freezer, ice maker and drinks fridges.
The dining area has a 9m x 1.2m table that can seat 30 adults comfortably.
At the other end of the room is the snug area, with sofas and chairs and a TV with full Sky/sports package.
A 1.4m wide commercial staircase leads from the main hall down to the games room and cinema room.
The games room has an 8ft American pool table, a 7ft air hockey table, table tennis and table football. To one end is a sink, dishwasher and fridge. This room also has some comfy seating, a Bluetooth sound system, and a TV with full Sky package and BT Sports.
This room has a big U-shape seating arrangement and comfortable stools. There is a remote controlled projector which creates a 3 m wide picture (corner to corner) on the wall.
The open plan kitchen, dining room and snug, the games room and the cinema room all have TVs and individual Bluetooth music systems with ceiling speakers. There is a full Sky/BT Sports package at Churchill 30.
All beds are zip and link so can be arranged as super kings or twins.
Bedrooms 1 to 3 are on the ground floor of the main part of main house:
Bedroom 1 is access friendly and can sleep up to 3 people. The entrance door is 1100mm wide and there is a huge walk in wet room with a deluge shower head and a hand held attachment. A shower chair and toilet frame can be supplied but this must be requested on the equipment section of your booking.
Bedroom 2 has an en suite bathroom with a shower.
Bedroom 3 has an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower.
Bedrooms 4 and 5 are on the first floor, accessed via a 1.2m concrete staircase:

Bedroom 5 also has an en suite shower room.
Bedrooms 6 and 7 are on the ground floor; both have en suite shower rooms.
Bedrooms 8, 9 and 10 are also on the ground floor and are accessed individually from the garden. Each has an en suite shower room.
All bathrooms have a comfort height WC, sink and heated towel rails.
Spa Hall (NB: Children must be supervised at all times)
A corridor from the kitchen area leads to the Spa Hall.
The door to the hall is self-closing and can be locked with a high-level sliding bolt and lock.
The pool measures 11m x 4.5m and has a constant depth of 1.2m; it is heated to a comfortable 30 degrees. Wide corner steps allow for easy access.
There is a 1.8m surround on one side of the pool, with anti-slip tiles for safe pedestrian use, and at the far end there are loungers for relaxation.
There is a wall mounted shower for use before and after swimming.
The sunken hot tub is made of stainless steel and measures 3.8m x 2.6m. It can seat 10 people and has a handrail for safe entry and exit via Roman steps. The water is constantly heated to 38 degrees.
The glass fronted sauna is to the right of the pool. It measures 2.5m x 2m and can accommodate 8 people at a time on two benches; it has a 8kw commercial heater.
Both the pool and hot tub have internal LED lighting for evening use.
The Spa Hall has emergency lighting that works in the event of a power failure.
French doors at the far end of the spa hall open onto an artificial grassed area. These doors can also be locked internally, for safety purposes.
To the front of the property there is a large patio area with garden furniture and a play train. At the back of the house is a huge partly covered, glass fronted balcony with a gas BBQ and pizza oven for year round use (gas provided).
