Bathampton, Near Bath, Somerset

Bathampton is a picturesque village just two miles east of Bath; it has a rather unusual claim to fame - Plasticine used to be made here. Remember that stuff? Amble along the Kennet & Avon canal, or around the tranquil wetlands nature reserve. You could always round it off with lunch at Bathampton Mill or have coffee and cake on the Café on the Barge.
