Barrington, Somerset

Equidistant between the towns of Taunton and Yeovil in South Somerset, Barrington is a picture postcard village, with many of the cottages thatched and built of local honey coloured ham stone. There is a charming church with an unusual octagonal tower, and right at the end of the village is the wonderful Tudor mansion, Barrington Court, with its pretty gardens (NT). The village pub, The Barrington Boar has a selection of beverages and a very tempting menu of English classics with a creative twist.
