You might not expect to find an adventure centre and golf course just 5 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, but here it is, and what great activities for your large group holiday in Somerset.
Vivary Golf and Adventure Centre is easy to find, in Vivary Park at the top of the high street in Taunton. Go and grab yourselves a whole load of fun tackling the low ropes and high ropes courses, the totem pole, climbing wall and the exhilarating power-fan descender.
You can also play mini golf and proper grown-up golf here. The parkland course is par 67 at 4558 yards, with challenges for all abilities with plenty of water hazards and bunkers. Book a tee, turn up and off you go; if you don’t have the kit, they can provide it for you, or you might find something that takes your eye in the Pro Shop. The club offers buggy and trolley hire, and if you want to hone your game there’s a chipping green, practice nets and a putting green. Visitors are welcome in the club house so bear that in mind for a nice way to round off your play, otherwise head to the onsite café for refreshments.
