The Luttrell Arms Hotel, Dunster, Somerset

Dunster is a charming village, the sort of place where you want to linger and make the most of your visit, so a good pub lunch should be par for the course. The Luttrell Arms should suit you perfectly, it’s quintessentially English with all the charm of a traditional country house hotel and what’s good is that besides the formal dining areas, there are more intimate bars where you can sit in an armchair by the fire of a winter’s day; out the back, there’s a pretty courtyard and garden for warmer times. The décor is modern yet interesting original features abound and that whole medievalness is still very evident (the building dates back to the 13th century).
Eat where you like, bar or restaurant; in the bar it’s dishes like Oak Smoked Salmon Linguine, Slow Braised Short Rib, Charred Cauliflower Steak and pub classics. It’s the same menu at lunchtimes in Psalter’s Restaurant; for dinner choose from a la carte fare – Poached Fillet of Turbot, Pan Fried Creedy Carver Duck Breast, Seared Loin of Rose Veal.
They also have private dining rooms and will tailor menus to suit your occasion – perfect if you’re celebrating something significant, a big birthday or an anniversary.
