The Lamb Inn, Spaxton, Somerset
There's a warm welcome at this family run country inn at the bottom of the Quantock Hills; it's a good traditional pub with oak beams, a cosy woodburner to sit by when it's cold out and a beer garden to enjoy a pint in when it's warm. Menus change regularly with plenty of home cooked fare to tantalise your tastebuds - Swordfish Steak, Rack of Lamb, Goats Cheese Bake; people come here especially for the steaks and pies. They don't do lunch but if you go for a walk on the hills in the summer it's a nice place to wind up at for a drink or for dinner.
Open Tues-Sat from 6.30 pm, Sunday from 7.30 pm, Sunday lunchtimes 12.3pm. Dogs welcome.
