This family run café/restaurant in the Somerset village of Wedmore is rather charming; it’s almost like you’ve stepped into someone’s house for a bite to eat and out the back there’s a peaceful tea garden where in the summer lilac bushes, poppies, runner beans and herbs all mingle together to give a profusion of just what cottage gardens are all about; a riot of colour, tumbling in the borders, scrambling up the walls. Staff are friendly and welcoming whether they’re serving you breakfast, lunch or tea and cake. The perfect pit stop when you’re out with the family, dog included, exploring this neck of the woods.
