Millers Farm Shop, Kilmington, Axminster, Devon
One of the nice things about being on a self catering large group holiday is that when you need provisions or something for supper you’ve got the time to go and potter around farm shops, and have a really good look at what’s there. Millers Farm Shop, near Axminster is packed to the rafters with produce - it's certainly not all local by any means but some of it is very good and there’s a lot of temptation; freshly baked bread, locally reared meat, salad veg that’s grown in the fields outside the shop, and an impressive selection of continental meats and cheeses. They also sell knick-knacks for the home and garden, compost, charcoal for the barbecue, and most days there's a fresh fish shack. Whilst you’re here, if you have time, stop at the café for a coffee and a chocolate brownie.
