Covent Garden, London

Covent Garden in London’s West End has an undeniably upbeat buzz about it, perhaps one reason why it's a big pull for locals and visitors alike. On warmer days there’s a very congenial atmosphere, with people milling about, sitting in the open air and watching street theatre; off the main traffic free piazza are a plethora of shops, markets, restaurants, bars and theatres, and its home to the Royal Opera House and the London Transport Museum. Just around the corner is Trafalgar Square where you'll find The National Gallery and the church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields. Hard to believe but once upon a time Covent Garden was one of London's biggest slums!
