The more competitive fishermen will be aiming to beat the record of carp weighing 20lb+ caught here recently, so there’ something to set your sights on. You get your own patch of the pond and if you haven’t got your own rod you can hire one on-site, as well as stocking up with bait. The only provisos are that you must pre-book your fishing, you have to show your EA rod licence, and of course the usual rules apply – no more than two rods per person, barbless hooks only, etc.
