Boogie Barn Accommodation
Boogie Barn is a supersized luxury holiday house for groups in Nottinghamshire; the location is peaceful and private, surrounded by the beauty of Sherwood Forest. With 13 ensuite bedrooms sleeping 26 guests, 2 hot tubs, an awesome games room and a private music cellar/mini nightclub this is a particularly good choice for celebrations, refined hen and stag weekends and corporate breaks or hospitality. The accommodation is set around a courtyard with each bedroom having its own access from outside; this works so well because guests have their own space as well as heaps of room to get together. Anyone who turns in a little earlier can take themselves off to bed whenever they like.
Drive slowly down the access lane and into the parking area; get out and have a good stretch after your journey and then go and see what this amazing holiday house is all about. You might well be greeted by the resident Indian Runner ducks as you stroll through the gates to the private courtyard; right in the middle there’s a raised pond and dotted around are several seating areas where you can enjoy the sunshine. Set in a smaller courtyard to one side are the 2 hot tubs where you can enjoy a sumptuous soak anytime of year; sit back and watch cotton wool clouds drift by during the day, at night gaze up at a sky studded with stars.
Step in through the porch to the ginormous open plan living and entertaining room; this impressive space is open to the rafters and is somewhere your whole group can gather together for drinks and to dine, to relax and catch up. To one end is a very well-equipped kitchen and bar, designed to take the stress out of self-catering for a large group stay. There’s always the option to hire private chefs to come and create a scrumptious celebration feast or holiday dinner for you. The dining table seats you all comfortably and sets the scene perfectly, especially when it's dressed for the occasion; these will be happy times indeed. There’s plenty of comfy seating at the other end of the room, or in the adjoining light and airy conservatory; pop a film on or catch up with the latest big match – the 88” Smart TV with Sky Sports & Movies ensures great viewing for all.
After dinner head downstairs to the soundproofed music cellar – this is your very own private nightclub with a bar, digital jukebox, sound system, lighting and a stage; there are even laser lights and a smoke machine so you can really let your hair down and show off your moves. Have a theme – go all out fancy dress, 80’s style, 70’s glam rock or disco nights.
At the end of a jolly good night head off to Blanket Land knowing that super comfy beds await you; Bedrooms 1-8 are either side of the courtyard and have king size beds, Bedrooms 9-13 are behind the main barn and are all twin rooms. All have trendy ensuite shower rooms, except for Bedroom 13, which has a bathroom with a free standing bath and a separate shower. There is underfloor heating in each room and a 55” Smart TV.
In a separate building to one side of the front courtyard is the retro style games room, a seriously cool space with table football, air hockey, a pinball machine and arcade games. With comfy seating and a drinks fridge as well, this is a great place to hang out come rain or shine.
