Withypool Tea Rooms, Withypool, Exmoor, Somerset

Oh now, this is Lovely! Lovely with a capital L too, and more to the point, what you’ll find with Withypool Tea Rooms is that it’s something you don’t get to see that often these days, but that’s the beauty of Exmoor – sometimes it’s like a very nice step back in time, the pace of life slows down and you can’t help but exude a big relaxed and contented sigh. It’s only a small place, but all around is the beautiful rolling countryside, and just outside, there’s a 1950’s petrol station, so it all feels so vintagey, like we said, a step back in time.

So, go and watch the River Barle rush on beneath the six arch stoned bridge and then find a table at Withypool Tea Rooms and enjoy a nice fresh baguette, a hot pasty, all very traditional in these parts, or treat yourselves to a big fat cream tea; homemade scones, a gurt dollop of jam, and cream. Tuck in.

Open: Spring to Autumn 9.00 am-5.00 pm every day.
