If you’re looking for things to do when you’re on your group holidays in Devon you need to check out Whitestrand Boat Hire. They have a fleet of 18 self drive hire boats, E-bikes, and SUPs, and they offer fishing trips and cruises on the calm waters of the Salcombe estuary.
The boats are surprisingly easy to master so you don’t need any experience or qualifications to steer one; you’ll be given full instructions and shown what to do before you set off. Then the time is yours; go where you want as long as it’s not out on the open sea. If you fancy trying your hand at fishing you can take a 2 hour skippered boat trip for up to 10 people; all equipment is provided, the skipper will help you out with reeling in your catch and gutting it, and whatever you land you take home, so that’s supper sorted.
