Dreamdays is a modern country house in Devon that sleeps 13 and has something for all ages, making it perfect for big family holidays and low key celebrations with your loved ones, for sophisticated hen weekends and self-catering corporate breaks. Follow the winding country lanes, go through the coded security gates and park up at your journey’s end.
Step into a bright and airy entrance hall that leads to a spacious living room on the right, where big fat sofas await you and there’s a huge flatscreen TV with Sky; pick a film, fill bowls with popcorn and settle down for a family movie night. This room, like most at Dreamdays, has the most incredible views across the Culm Valley and the Blackdown Hills; fields and woods and huge open skies that roll on forever.
Left off the hall there’s a large kitchen/dining room with everything you need to take the stress out of catering for a large group. There’s a walk-in pantry, plenty of storage space and room for slicing and dicing, but most of all, it’s a room where you can all gather together and share happy chitchat. Tuck into scrumptious dinners and big breakfasts around the table - that's the sort of thing that large group holidays are all about, especially if you’re celebrating a notable birthday or anniversary. Off the kitchen, the utility room is the ideal place to leave your muddy boots and coats when you come back from a country walk. From the dining area wander into the sun room and oh, those views, those views! Doors open onto the terrace so it’s a nice place to be on a warm day with the fresh air drifting in.
Upstairs there’s a galleried landing; to the left is Bedroom 1, with a super king bed and a single, plus room for a cot, so it's great for families with young children; there’s an ensuite shower room and for those who don't travel light, a walk-in wardrobe. Across the landing are Bedrooms 2-4, all having shared use of the main bathroom which has a contemporary freestanding bath and a separate shower. Bedroom 2 is a twin room, Bedroom 3 has a super king and a single bed, and Bedroom 4 has a king size bed.
Across the courtyard from the main house is the Annexe Suite (Bedroom 5), with a super king bed and a single, and its own shower room. Right next door is the games room, also accessed from the courtyard; it's a good space to hang out and have a game of pool or catch the latest big match on the TV.
One of the highlights of Dreamdays is the covered and heated pool which can be used any time of year; just across the courtyard there’s a wet room and changing room, around the edge of the pool there's plenty of room for loungers, so you can spend long lazy days out there no matter what the weather's doing. The hot tub and barrel sauna are in the courtyard, along with outdoor table tennis.
At the front of the house there’s an enormous terrace with outdoor furniture and a barbecue - a great spot for dining alfresco. The younger members of your party will be happy as there's heaps of room for them to run around at Dreamdays as well as outdoor table tennis, and a play area with a climbing frame and trampoline.
And then there’s the Nordic style BBQ lodge where you can gather beneath the fairy lights; it's a great rainy weather option with room for you all to get together, play cards, tell jokes, and swap stories long into the night. Big happy holidays can be yours to share! Book today!
