If you go to Upton-Upon Severn when you're on your large group holidays in Worcestershire, make time for a stroll down to Upton Marina; soak up the maritime air and find a place to sit and watch the comings and goings, or even better, head for one of the waterfront bars for a bite to eat. They say the Wheelhouse Marina Bar & Restaurant is good, and The Boathouse. If you fancy taking to the waters you can hire a self drive or skippered boat from Severn Expeditions; a great idea for special occasions and celebrations, and they even do guided fishing trips if you fancy casting a line. Otherwise board one of the bigger boats for a leisurely cruise on the mighty River Severn; sit back and soak up the whole atmosphere, to spot wildlife, to dream, and hopefully, enjoy the good weather.
