Tillingbourne Waterfall, Wotton, Dorking, Surrey
Tillingbourne Waterfall is one of those hidden gems that not many people bother to seek out; in fact not many people even know there are waterfalls on the Tillingbourne, so there you go. This one is the tallest waterfall in Surrey and is beautiful, cascading down over the rocks, tucked away in the woods near a hamlet charmingly named Friday Street (it’s just all too idyllic, isn’t it?). The waterfall is actually on private land so whilst you can’t get right up to it or take your shoes and socks off for a paddle, you can get a very good view from the footpath that’s part of a good 5 mile walk around these parts. Take your camera, or at least, have your phone fully charged.
