Acclaimed as one of the most outstanding golf courses in the UK, The Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club is set amidst glorious countryside roughly halfway between Monmouth and Abergavenny. The estate, The Hendre has been the seat of the Rolls family since 1767 and with the backdrop of the Mansion and views that stretch across to the Black Mountains, this 6,733 yard course of quintessential parkland, lakes and streams is undeniably spectacular.
Visitors are welcome every day from 8 am (first tee 10 am on Sundays), with buggy, trolley and club hire available from the Pro shop. There’s also a small practice area with a net, putting green and chipping green, and a very nice clubhouse where guests are welcome to have a drink and a bite to eat in the restaurant. You know the rules, no jeans, no trainers, no hats in the clubhouse, etc.
