The Green Room, Yeovil, Somerset
Expect mouth watering modern European cuisine and a very relaxed ambience when you come to the Green Room; it's great for families and big groups, but there are plenty of little nooks so romantic couples can still enjoy an intimate dinner. Right in the town centre, the 500 year old building has been styled with a quirky mix of on-trend and traditional decor, and downstairs is the uniquely atmospheric 16th century Cellar Restaurant with its brick vaulted ceiling on Hamstone columns. All diets are catered for and the evening menu changes daily; at lunchtime choose from a selection of steaks, burgers and sandwiches. They encourage family dining here so children are welcome but they'll have no running around or shouting, which is fair enough. Booking essential.
