The Cadre Noir of Saumur, Saumur, France

Home of the French National Riding School, The Cadre Noir of Saumur is one of the most prestigious classical riding academies in the world, set up in 1815 to provide training for the officers of the French Cavalry. Horses are trained by top class instructors, and you can see the amazing work they do in regular equestrian displays from February to November each year.
Groups can book visits with a behind the scenes look at the stables, tack room and indoor arena, and there are public performances and Official Galas that show the amazing relationships that can be fostered between man and horse. This is a truly spectacular show that no horse lover will want to miss.
