The Anchor Inn & Boathouse, Worcester, Worcestershire

The Anchor Inn & Boathouse is a popular pub on the marina, just a few minutes stroll from the busy streets of Worcester city centre. It’s got all the appeal of a traditional, family run pub, which is exactly what it is – one of those places where everyone is welcome, kids and dogs included. The atmosphere is convivial and relaxing, especially in the summer when you can sit out in the waterside garden.
They’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and food is all hearty homemade fare. If you just fancy a nibble, the handmade scotch eggs and pork pies are very good, but to give you an idea of what else you can have, a peek at the lunch menu reveals something for pretty much all tastes; sandwiches, flatbreads, burgers, steaks, salads, and favourites like bangers & mash, fish & chips, or if you want something more fancy there’s garden pea, broad bean & asparagus risotto, grilled sea bass, or fish pie. That kind of thing; you get the picture.
Go on, give it a whirl! Have a walk along the river, explore the cathedral and finish up at The Anchor Inn & Boathouse for lunch, or do it the other way round and start here for breakfast.
