Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire

An ancient market town on the River Teme, in a lovely part of the world, just a short drive from Worcester. The ‘Wells’ bit comes from the mineral water wells that were discovered in Tenbury in early Victorian times when the Pump Rooms were built. It’s one of those towns that’s really nice to have a leisurely browse around, you know, take your time, see the sights, explore the back streets. There’s an interesting mix of mostly independent shops and some very good places to eat, including the Peacock Inn and the Spotty Dog Gallery and Tea Room.
