The House
Let your holiday begin as you step into the hallway at Princehay Barton… to the right is the games room, with a pool table, table tennis and a widescreen TV; stairs lead to the mini cinema, with tiered seating, floor cushions, air con, interval lights, surround sound and a huge screen.
Next to the games room is the snug; straight ahead, accessed via a lockable door is the spa hall and a whole load of wow! Centre place is the pool, at the end of the room there’s a ground level hot tub and a glass-fronted sauna.
Bedrooms 1-3 are upstairs, all with ensuite shower rooms; Bedroom 1 has room for an extra guest bed for a child aged 12 years or under (extra charge – see Extras).
Left of the entrance hall is the enormous open plan living/entertaining space; light pours in though full height windows, doors open onto the garden, lush velvet sofas invite you to put your feet up. A long dining table sets the scene for fabulous celebration feasts, the contemporary kitchen has all you need for your large group stay.
Off the kitchen there’s a utility room, and a hallway to Bedrooms 4-6. Bedrooms 4 and 6 have bathrooms with a bath, separate shower and TV, Bedroom 5 has an ensuite wet room. Bedrooms 5 and 6 have room for an extra guest bed for children aged 12 years and under (extra charge – see Extras).
Outside, the huge gardens are idyllic; a large patio at the back of the house leads onto lawns and pathways that wind round to a mini ‘Stonehenge’ and a stone-built BBQ bothy you can use any time of year – if it’s chilly, just close the doors and windows and put the heaters on. All around are trees and flowers, and birdsong; go for a paddle in the stream, stroll through the orchard where the trees billow with apple blossom in the springtime.
