Access Statement for Pinklet

Introduction

Pinklet is a big country cottage a world away from the bustle of city life. It has 6 bedrooms that sleep up to 15 guests 

Pre-Arrival

By train - The nearest train station is at Trowbridge, or Chippenham is on the direct route form London . Taxis are usually available from the stations.

By car - You will find detailed directions in your check-in information once you have made a booking.

Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking

The key to the property is held in an external key safe next to the main entrance door. Details of the key safe combination will be given prior to arrival.

All keys are the responsibility of the rental guests and we advise that you always use the key safe during your stay.

All guests will be welcomed by a property owner and will be given a tour.

The house has a gated drive and grounds. There is enough parking for approximately 5 cars on the gravel drive, with alternative parking possible in the field when the ground is dry.

NB: Guests must not move the furniture in the house.

Entrance to Property

The main entrance door has a step with floor tiling and ceiling lights.

The internal areas are very well lit with ceiling spotlights, lamps and pendant lights.

There is a step from the entrance hall to kitchen

Halls, Stairs, Landings, Passageways

Sitting Room/Lounge

Open fire (logs provided - please note that the fire will be laid up for you on arrival and that if you use it, it must be kept to the back of the grate at all times).

All areas are evenly lit with spotlights and lamps.

The room has a mix of chairs and sofas.

There is a television with remote control and options for subtitles/audio description.

Kitchen

There is a step from the entrance hall into the kitchen

There is a narrow corridor to the bedrooms at the back of the house. There is a shower room with WC on the ground floor.

Garden

There is a paved patio area which can be accessed from the back door 

The lawn has a goal post and  there is a croquet set. Note that there is an uneven area.

There is a garden table and patio chairs for 14 guests.

The garden is edged with a picket fence, with a stream just beyond. Children should be supervised at all times.
