National Gallery, London

Culture vultures and art aficionados will like the National Gallery in London. Over 2,600 paintings with all the big names from the art world - Leonardo da Vinci, Michaelangelo, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Cezanne, Titian, Constable, Monet, Gainsborough, Van Gogh, Raphael; where else could you see so many masterpieces under one roof? If you’re not such a buff, don’t worry, go along, take your time to look at the paintings – you’ll recognise them all even if you don’t know what they’re called (you can find out here!).
Admission to the National Gallery is free, there are regular exhibitions, events, tours and talks. When you’ve been through all the rooms, go and pull up a chair in one of the cafes or the coffee bar and discuss what you liked best.

Open 10.00am-6.00pm every day, with late night opening ‘til 9.00pm on Friday
