Museum of Cider, Hereford, Herefordshire

Herefordshire is well known for its apple orchards and traditional cider making; at the Museum of Cider you can find out more about this fine country craft and learn how cider is produced from start to finish.

Collections on display include cider mills, presses and bottles, extensive photographs, advertising memorabilia and a set of lead crystal cider flutes, which are quite a rarity. Would you fancy drinking out of those?? There are activities to keep the little ones amused and in the autumn you can book for hands on apple pressing.

No tourist attraction would be complete without a tea room, and besides, it’s a nice way to round off your visit. Even better is the Cider Shop where there you’ll find one of the best ranges of ciders and perries in the country. Samples are available to try before you buy and buy you must because frankly, it would be wrong not to.
