Montacute, Somerset

This is a lovely peaceful village, with most of the buildings made of the honey coloured ham stone quarried from nearby Ham Hill. It’s a pleasure to take an afternoon out to stroll around the streets, and admire what’s around. Visit Montacute House and Gardens (NT), or the Montacute TV, Radio and Toy Museum and Tea Rooms. For a pub lunch try either of the pubs – the Phelips Arms or the Kings Arms.
