Monmouth Festival, Monmouthshire
Every year in June the Welsh border town of Monmouth is filled with the sound of music; running for nine days this free draws crowds from far and wide. The atmosphere is vibrant and friendly, with live performances at different venues throughout the town – in the open air, in churches, pubs and halls. There’s a Busking Festival, a Family Fun Day, and there’s Fringe, all built around an eclectic mix of classical, jazz, folk, pop, ska, and world music. It’s worth going to soak up the happy ambience.
