Book a luxury large group holiday or short break at Huxhay and you can rest assured you’ve made a brilliant choice. Close to the centre of Dulverton on the edge of Exmoor National Park, this beautiful house sleeps 23 in 10 bedrooms over the main house and a self-contained annexe - ideal if you have a family, elderly grandparents, or couples who like to have their own space.
Head up the drive and you’ll find plenty of parking; get your bags out and step inside to beautiful interiors that blend the traditional and the modern to perfection. Off the wide entrance lobby there’s a utility room with laundry facilities, straight ahead is a huge open plan kitchen and dining room with full height doors that open onto the terrace. Continue round to a hall, snug and living room.
On the first floor are Bedrooms 1-6; Bedroom 1 has a free standing bath tub by the window and a gorgeous Art Deco style shower room, Bedrooms 4-6 all have ensuite shower rooms and Bedrooms 2 and 3 have shower rooms just across the landing, and full height doors opening onto a large balcony. Bedrooms 7 and 8 are on the second floor and have an ensuite bathroom and shower room respectively. Bedroom 8 makes a great family room as it can have 3 single beds as well as the double.
A few strides away form the main house, the annexe brings you luxury loft style living with an open plan kitchen/dining/living area, Bedrooms 9 and 10 and a bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower.
Outside the grounds are enormous with heaps of space to run and play or to wander carefree among the trees. Steps lead down from the terrace to sweeping lawns; to the side of the house is a large terrace with an outdoor kitchen, seating and a 12 person hot tub.
