Hamble House - Accommodation
Hamble House ticks all the right boxes for impressive corporate breaks, celebrations and family holidays. Set in the peaceful village of Warsash near Southampton, there are glorious views over the River Hamble, fresh coastal air and everything you need to ensure a happy holiday or short break.
Electric security gates and a private drive lead to a large parking area; get out and stretch your legs then go up the steps and in through the front door. Outside the house is modern Victorian style, inside it's warm and welcoming and packed full of wow factor. Straight ahead of you in the commodious reception hall is a double sweeping staircase, to the left is the huge and well-equipped kitchen with a walk-in pantry and utility room, straight ahead is the orangery with plenty of comfy seating and bifold doors opening onto a large terrace.
Because it’s all open plan this is such a sociable space so you can all get together to raise a toast if you're here celebrating a special birthday or anniversary. The kitchen is so well kitted out that cooking for a big group is no problem, but if that doesn't appeal just book one of our recommended caterers to come and create a feast for you.
Round to the right of the hall is the games room with a pool table and roulette; get your glad rags on and roll those dice - upstairs there's Texas Holdem so you've got your own private casino here! A little further along is the dining room* and a short staircase down to the spa hall – and it’s Fabulous with a big capital F! Just off the spa hall is the steam room, just inside is the hot tub and centre of the room is the heated pool. When it’s sunny, pull back the bifold doors and bring in the sunshine, add to that holiday vibe.
Back up the stairs, off a half-landing is the living room, all calm and comfy with plenty of sofas and a big TV. Upstairs there’s a big part-galleried landing where you’ll find the Texas Holdem; to the left are Bedrooms 1 and 2, both with double beds, ensuite shower rooms, and the luxury of a balcony with outdoor furniture. Sleep in Bedroom 2 and you wake up to fabulous views over the water.
Right of the landing are Bedrooms 3-7. Bedroom 3 has a super king bed, an ensuite bathroom with a spa bath and walk-in shower, and its own seating area; doors open onto a balcony with river views. Bedrooms 4 and 5 are both double rooms that share a bathroom with a free standing bath and walk-in shower. Bedroom 6 has zip and link beds (super king or twin), a seating area, ensuite shower room and a balcony. Bedroom 7 has a nautical theme and a vaulted ceiling; there’s a double bed, comfy seating, and an ensuite shower room. All bedrooms have ample wardrobe space and Freeview TVs.
Bedrooms 8 and 9 are on the top floor; Bedroom 8 has a super king bed and Bedroom 9 a double. The lucky folk who sleep up here will have the whole floor to themselves - a huge space with a shower room, a small kitchen, a lounge area with a TV, and seating in front of a Juliette balcony that has views over the garden and the river. This is a great space for a family, for grandparents who like to turn in a little earlier, or for teenagers.
The gardens are to the back and side of the house; there’s plenty of outdoor furniture on the terrace outside the orangery, and a separate solarium makes a great place to relax by day or evening. A path leads to the year round BBQ hut, and dotted around the garden are more seating areas, so you can sit out and soak up that coastal air. Also in the grounds are 4 studios and a lodge that provide additional accommodation for up to 12 guests for a minimum stay of 2 nights.
Stroll around the gently sloping gardens with their distinctly Mediterranean feel; amble along the Victorian walk, take your time and enjoy the peace and the river vistas. It's a world of your own at Hamble House, a modern version of a coastal country house. A place to stay, to relax and be happy. Book today!
* The dining room seats 14; there is another table in the orangery that seats 10. The orangery can be set up to seat 18 together by utilising an additional table, but note that this must be requested in advance.
